During the first years of the colonization of Arcadia, the Council promoted mining by implementing an NFT mining program, a strategy meant to distribute free mining units to miners willing to claim them. The council hoped that this initiative would encourage miners to use these free units to improve their mining operations. Indeed, those free units can easily be dismantled and the extra parts can be used to level up, fuse and improve better miners.

However, the Arcadian Fund for Market Regulation (AFMR) conducted a 1-month study to monitor the situation regarding unit production. And the results are overwhelming: piles of basic units are sitting and rusting in almost every space warehouse. The AFMR decided to react and came up with a three-step program (called the ‘anti-junk program) to correct the situation.

The anti-junk program relies on the implementation of a global economic indicator correlated to the circulating supply of Active cards belonging to the 2 current albums(Mining or War album). During the first step: If the circulating supply of the miners of a particular album exceeds 75%, the probability of getting those miners (via NFT Mining) will decrease. The more the circulating supply of an album approaches 100%, the more the probability of mining these assets will tend towards 0. Conversely, if the circulating supply of the assets of a particular album is below 75%, then the NFT Mining rate of this particular album will be positively stimulated.

With such an approach, the Arcadian council hopes that miners will make an effort to improve their units. Additionally, the implementation of the anti-junk program will prevent any asset from reaching its maximum supply while incentivising Corporate leaders to upgrade their miners, and reward them if they do so.

💡 The AFMR decided to react and came up with a three-step program (called the ‘anti-junk program) to correct the situation.

📝 Summary:

New logic regarding NFTM mining. We currently have 2 albums for Active cards: Mining album and War album. If the circulating supply of a album exceeds 75%, the NFTM for this album will drop (meaning that it will be harder to mine them). For instance, if the circulating supply of the War album reaches 87.5%, the probability of mining cards from this album will be decreased by 50%. Conversely, if the circulating supply falls below 75%, every operation will receive a mining boost(up to 6%). In conclusion, the NFTM value of your rigs is now correlated to the active supply that they extract. The more active cards in circulation, the less likely you are to mine them. This logic is the first step of the anti-junk program and shifting our model towards a closer community-driven tokenomics. The steps 2 and 3 that will be later implemented will take into account most of the elements of the game including card pieces and active packs.
